Farm School
Welcome to Blue Heron Farm’s Spring Programs!
At Blue Heron Farm, we offer hands-on, play-based programs that let children explore life on the farm while building curiosity, confidence, and connection with the natural world. Our spring sessions are full of seasonal activities, baby animals, and plenty of opportunities to learn by doing.

Farm Play (Ages 3–6)
April and May Sessions – Tuesdays, 4:00–5:00 PM
$75 per child | Each monthly session includes four weekly classes
Farm Play is a caregiver-attended program for ages 3–6, designed as a gentle introduction to farm life. Each 1-hour class includes animal interactions, story time, crafts, sensory play, and seasonal farm activities. With a caregiver by their side, children are encouraged to explore at their own pace, ask questions, and build early social and motor skills in a fun, nurturing environment.
Spring Farm Play sessions may include:
-
Visiting and interacting with baby goats, chicks, and bunnies
-
Sensory play with natural materials
-
Storytime and farm-themed crafts
-
Exploring our gardens and learning about plants
Each monthly session includes four weekly classes, with different activities each month, so children can return for multiple months and enjoy new experiences. Classes are limited to 10 children.

Farm School (Ages 7–12)
April and May Sessions – Thursdays, 12:30-2pm or 4-5:30pm
$100 per child | Each monthly session includes four weekly classes
Farm School is for kids who are ready to dig deeper into farm life. In each 90-minute session, students explore animals, hands-on projects, seasonal experiments, and creative farm-based learning in a small group setting.
Some children love the independence of attending on their own, while others feel most comfortable with a caregiver nearby — and both options are welcome. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where every child can grow at their own pace.
Classes are active, engaging, and full of real farm experiences — focused on learning through doing.
Spring Farm School sessions may include:
-
Meeting and caring for baby goats, chicks, and bunnies
-
Milking goats and bottle feeding
-
Gardening and exploring seasonal plants
-
Hands-on experiments like egg dissections or making soap
-
Farm-themed crafts and interactive activities
Each monthly session includes four weekly classes, with different activities each month, so returning students will continue to explore new farm experiences. Classes are limited to 8 children for a safe, personalized experience.
