Farm School

Farm School at Blue Heron Farm is an immersive, hands-on learning experience where kids become active participants in real farm life. Designed to spark curiosity and a love of nature, each class invites children to explore the world around them through meaningful, farm-based activities. From milking a goat to dissecting eggs or flowers, students engage all their senses as they learn by doing.
Kids will help make goat milk soap, sample farm-to-table snacks, learn how cheese is made, and discover the role of pollinators in our garden. Our small group setting allows children to ask questions, experiment, and connect deeply with animals, plants, and natural processes. It’s a joyful, down-to-earth way to learn life skills and foster wonder.
Activities will follow the seasonal rhythms of the farm, meaning no two sessions are exactly the same. Each month brings new opportunities to explore, allowing children to experience the changing cycles of farm life through hands-on discovery.
